SC to decide on sixth vault of Padmanabhaswamy temple

The Supreme Court will deliver its judgement on Wednesday on the issue of opening of the sixth vault at Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple in Kerala, reputed to be the richest in the country.

The Supreme Court will deliver its judgement on Wednesday on the issue of opening of the sixth vault at Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple in Kerala, reputed to be the richest in the country.

A bench comprising Justices R V Raveendran and A K Patnaik had last week reserved the judgement after hearing all the parties.

Travancore royal family is opposed to the opening of the sixth vault.

Kerala government has told the Court that it has already allocated Rs 5 crore for the safety of the temple treasure.
