Somnath Chatterjee hospitalised, stable

Outgoing Lok Sabha speaker Somnath Chatterjee on Thursday was admitted to the Army's Research and Referral Hospital here following a chest congestion.

Outgoing Lok Sabha speaker Somnath Chatterjee was today admitted to the Army's Research and Referral Hospital here following a chest congestion.

Chatterjee, 80, was brought to the hospital around 3:00 pm and is undergoing treatment under a chest physician, hospital sources said.

His condition is said to be stable and he has been advised complete bed rest for a few days, the sources said.
