The Delhi police on Friday filed a supplementary chargesheet against Maoist leader Kobad Ghandy, accused of trying to set up a network of the banned outfit in Delhi, with a fresh sanction to prosecute him under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.

In the supplementary chargesheet, the special cell has placed on record fresh sanction to prosecute him under Section 45 of the act.
The chargesheet also has a March 23, 2012, order of additional home secretary against Ghandy and his co-accused Arvind Joshi.
The case against Ghandy is now at the stage of argument on charges.
In the earlier chargesheet, the police had slapped charges under the act, besides booking him for various offences under the Indian Penal Code relating to cheating, forgery and impersonation.
