Swamy asks PM to cancel all 2G licenses, invoking nat security

In the wake of the controversy over telecom company Etisalat DB, Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy on Wednesday asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to invoke national security and cancel all the licences in the 2G Spectrum.

In the wake of the controversy over telecom company Etisalat DB, Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy on Wednesday asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to invoke national security and cancel all the licences in the 2G Spectrum.

"I demand from the Prime Minister that now he must forthwith invoke national security, cancel all the licences in the 2G Spectrum matter and re-advertise for an auction," he said in a statement.

He said if the Prime Minister fails to do it immediately, he will have no alternative but to go back to the Supreme Court.
