"Parliament reflects the country's collective view. Any remark lowering the dignity of the august house is totally unacceptable," Speaker Meira Kumar said at the end of a short debate.

Contrary to indications on Monday, Lok Sabha didn't adopt a resolution against Team Anna. Instead, Kumar summed up the sense of the House without naming anyone.

The debate began with MPs - across party lines - attacking Team Anna. This gave way to hectic consultations between parties, after which the House decided on issuing just a warning.

The BJP brought its aggression several notches down after a section apparently argued that Team Anna was targeting the Congress and therefore, the opposition party shouldn't confront it directly.
