Nagpal, in fact, has been regularly corresponding with Delhi Development Authority on the issue. But nothing much has changed in the last three years, apart from Rohini’s population.

The population in Nagpal’s sector, for instance, has almost doubled in the last three years, but the supply of water remains the same.

“I am not exaggerating but residents here get not more than five to 10 minutes of water supply every morning. We’ve put in several formal requests in the shape of letters but DDA pleads helplessness,” said Nagpal.

Nagpal sometimes wonders whether he is fighting a losing battle, and whether there is any possibility at all of the supply improving before Delhi Jal Board takes over the supply to DDA sectors.

“How long can one keep writing letters? DDA also cannot do much if DJB is not supplying water,” said Nagpal.

Unfortunately, there is no fixed time frame within which DJB would take over these sectors of Rohini.
