Two more succumb to swine flu

Two more persons succumbed to swine flu today even as 104 fresh cases of the disease were reported from across the country.

Two more persons succumbed to swine flu today even as 104 fresh cases of the disease were reported from across the country.

The two deaths were reported from Maharashtra and Puducherry. With this, the total number of deaths nationwide has risen to 451, Health Ministry officials said.

Kerala recorded the highest number of cases today with 42 followed by Delhi (19) and Maharashtra (10).

Out of the 104 fresh cases reported today, seven cases are imported while the rest are indigenous.

The total number of those afflicted with the disease has reached 13,545.

Till date, samples from 71,550 people have been tested for swine flu and 18.9 per cent of them have been found to be positive.
