Two women, including a French national, suffered severe burn injuries in a fire at a south Delhi hotel on Wednesday night, fire department officials said on Thursday.

The blaze broke out in Hotel Regalia Inn in Chittaranjan Park locality shortly after 11:00 pm on Wednesday when a party was under way in a temporary structure built on the ground floor and the first floor.
Five fire tenders were rushed to the spot and fire fighters took about 30 minutes to douse the fire.
31-year-old Frenchwoman Lamia, who suffered 95 per cent burns, is battling for life at the Safdarjung Hospital, the officials said.
Lissie Ahuja, 29, hailing from Ludhiana suffered burn injuries on her legs and was undergoing treatment at the Safdarjung Hospital.
Police have registered a case of negligence against the hotel owner. No arrests have been made so far.
