The ULFA leaders bunkered with the Prime Minister for about 15 minutes and are understood to have discussed the initiatives taken to bring lasting peace in Assam.
Sources, however, described the meeting as a courtesy call by the ULFA leaders as Singh represents Assam in Rajya Sabha.
On Thursday, the eight member ULFA delegation met home minister P Chidambaram and home secretary Gopal K Pillai and began the process of dialogue, after three decades of insurgency.
Chidambaram had said that the central and Assam governments would engage them in sincere and meaningful talks to find out a just and honourable solution.
