"As far as investigation about Quattrocchi's role in Bofors case, which was accepted today (Friday) by the court, it once again highlights the rampant misuse of CBI by the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government," BJP spokesperson Ravishankar Prasad told reporters.

"The CBI refused to take into account the recent finding of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal which conclusively establish the entire conspiracy, the linkage, the transfer of the fund and how Quattrocchi and his associate in India, Win Chadha, were the beneficiaries. Even their account numbers were in the findings," he said.

"In place of pursuing the case thereafter, the CBI filed its closure report obviously under political pressure because Quatrocchi knew a lot," he alleged.

He added that the truth will reappear.

"Truth has no closure it always appears and reappears," he added.
