Former Prime Minister and senior BJP leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee expresses his condolences over the death of industrialist Dr K K Birla.

Former Prime Minister and senior BJP leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Saturday expressed his condolences over the death of industrialist Dr K K Birla.

"With the death of Dr K K Birla a strong pillar of Indian industry has fallen. A dedicated, hard-working and sincere industrialist has left us," Vajpayee said in his message.

He lauded the contribution of Birla to the growth of India. "The religious and social institutions established by him are a living example of his social commitment," he said.

Vajpayee said people like Birla are rare and his death was a personal loss to him.
