Those with dual voter cards may face action from April 30. Criminal prosecution against 14.5 lakh voters, who had failed to report to the office of deputy commissioners for the cancellation of one card, had to start by April 10.

Mukesh Sharma, parliamentary secretary to Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, said “The CEO of election commission has allowed our requests. He is working on a software to facilitate cross-checking of registered voters in Delhi and nearby cities.”
