According to the local power distribution company, there was a technical snag in the Pappankalan-Dwarka line, due to which they had to carry out load shedding in some parts of west Delhi.

"Since the afternoon, there have been regular power cuts and the situation is still continuing. It is unbearable to stay without power in this season," complained a resident of Punjabi Bagh. The areas most affected due to the power cut were Hari Nagar, Tilak Nagar, Rajouri Garden and Khayala.
