Woman did not seek from helpline: govt

The Delhi government on Wednesday said the woman who was allegedly molested in Lodhi Garden had not sought help from 181, the women-in-distress helpline.

The Delhi government on Wednesday said the woman who was allegedly molested in Lodhi Garden had not sought help from 181, the women-in-distress helpline.

“A section of the media the other day said the women-in-distress helpline number 181 had not taken a call made by a woman,” said a senior Delhi government official.

“But we would like to clarify that no one sought help from 181 The department has verified the reported/attempted call which was never received from the said number on the helpline,” the government official added.
