Woman pulled into van, molested
Two men, including a guitarist working at the temple of a well-known international religious organisation, allegedly molested and tried to abduct a young woman when she was returning home from work on Sunday evening, reports HT Correspondent.

Both men have been arrested, said police.
The woman (22)—who hails from the Northeast and works with a five star hotel—was walking to her home in Sarojini Nagar in south Delhi when the men assaulted her.
Police have identified the accused as Sunil (22), a driver, and Akash Deep alias Honey, who is a guitarist at a temple in East of Kailash, in south Delhi.
The police said the victim was returning home from her workplace when the duo, who were allegedly inebriated, dragged her into their Maruti Van on Sunday near Africa Avenue roundabout on Brigadier Hoshiar Singh Marg.
However, the victim started screaming, which caught the attention of few pedestrians in the area. The locals then rushed to her help. One of the abductors was also beaten up badly by passersby.
"People surrounded the accused and mercilessly thrashed Sunil with sticks and pelted stones at him. They also damaged the Maruti Van,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) HGS Dhaliwal.
“However, his accomplice managed to escape from the spot. The police control room was alerted and the accused was taken to AIIMS for treatment and arrested later.”
During interrogation, said Dhaliwal, he revealed the name of his accomplice who was subsequently arrested on Monday when he was planning to flee the city.
Police have impounded the vehicle the accused were using. According to police, the two revealed they had found the victim a soft target and were planning to kidnap her and rape her. “We have registered a case under appropriate sections against the duo.”
Police are checking if the duo was involved in similar crimes in the past as well.
