A youth died when a compressor of an air-conditioner exploded inside a electronic workshop in Sector 16 market on Saturday.

The incident occurred when two persons identified as Devinder Kumar of Bamnikhera in Palwal and Deeraj Kumar of Baselva colony in Faridabad were filling gas in an air-conditioner inside the workshop in the market when the compressor suddenly exploded, causing panic in the area.

Both the persons were critically injured due to the impact of the blast. They were rushed to a private hospital where Devinder breathed his last.

"We are investigating all angles of the matter," In-charge of police post in Sector 16 Sanjeev Kumar said.
