CBSE 3rd topper Parth Saini of Solan used internet as stress buster, kept off social media
CBSE 3rd topper Partn Saini of Solan, who devoted seven to eight hours to studies, said he was never active on social media and used internet only as a stress buster.
Solan boy Parth Saini, who bagged third rank in the Class 12 Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examination, wants to get into the best engineering college in the country and become a data scientist.
On cloud nine after scoring 497 marks out of 500, Parth credits his parents and teachers for his achievement. “I am going to celebrate my success with my teachers and family,” the St Luke’s Senior Secondary School student said soon after the results were declared on Thursday.
Parth, who devoted seven to eight hours to studies, said he was never active on social media and used internet only as a stress buster.
His father Suresh Saini is a deputy manager in Himachal Futuristic Communications Limited (HFCL) at Chambaghat in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh and mother Ritu Saini is a homemaker. He also has a younger sister, Richa Saini, who is a Class 11 student in St Luke’s Senior Secondary School.
“To be honest we never expected this result. He used to devote a lot of time to studies and surfed the internet on the mobile phone just to relieve stress. He was very dedicated and focused on achieving his goals,” said his mother.
Apart from being a brilliant student, he also regularly participated in athletics, declamation, debates, science quiz and had once bagged the first position in the district math olympiad.
St Lukes’ Senior Secondary School principal Sister Isabel praised Parth as a “versatile student”.
“He is goal-oriented and always gave his best in all school activities. He has told me that he wants to get admission in one of the best engineering colleges of India and we are proud of his achievement. The entire school wishes him luck in his future endeavours,” the principal said.
