CBSE Class 10 results: Here’s how students in Delhi scored last year

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has just started releasing its Class 10 results, let’s see what students in Delhi scored in the previous years.
Last year, 91.76% of the students from Delhi who had appeared for the exam had passed, a few notches below the overall pass percentage of 96.21.
More often than not, it has been seen that private institutions in Delhi perform better than government schools. Last year private institutions had a better pass percentage than government schools. About 95.43% of the students who were from private schools cleared the exams, while government schools had a pass percentage of 89.25.

Of all the students who had appeared for the CBSE Class 10 exams last year, 16,8541 students had scored perfect Cumulative Grade Point Averages (CGPAs) of 10 points in 2016. Interestingly, even though girls had a higher pass percentage than boys, more boys had scored perfect CGPAs.
When it came to all India results, last year, 96.21% of the students who had appeared for the exams passed. Girls had a marginally better pass percentage than boys. About 96.36% of the girls who appeared for the exams passed, while the boys had a pass percentage of 96.11
About 1,68541 students got a perfect Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 10 points last year.
This year also marks the last year when Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) will be used in Class 10. CBSE has decided to re-introduce board exams for the 10th grade starting next year.
