Part-I- Physics had total 30*questions – Sec-I had 20 Multiple choice questions with Single correct answers & Sec-II had 10 Numerical based questions out which only 5 had to be attempted. Marking scheme for multiple choice questions was +4 for correct response, -1 for incorrect response, 0 if not attempted. Marking scheme for numerical based questions was +4 for correct response, -1 for incorrect response and 0 in all other cases. Total marks of this section were 100.

It has been decided to provide choices in one section of each subject of Paper 1 and Part-I of Paper 2A and 2B to cater to the decision of different Boards across the country regarding the reduction of the syllabus. However, the total number of questions to be attempted will remain the same (Physics – 25, Chemistry – 25, and Mathematics – 25), wherever applicable. 

Mobile phone, headphones, Bluetooth and other communication devices, calculators, pen, watch, sunglasses, hat, etc are not allowed inside exam hall. A timer/clock will be displayed on the exam console so that candidates can keep track of time.

The candidates must carry these items to the exam centre - JEE Main admit card printout, photo identity card, photos, undertaking download from official website. Candidates are also advised to wear comfortable clothes and reach exam centre on time to avoid any last minute discomforts.

To download the admit card, candidates will require to have credentials for JEE Mains Login. The admit card can be downloaded from the official website of NTA JEE at jeemain.nta.nic.in. 

JEE Mains Session 1 Shift 2 exam begins at 3 pm. The examination will conclude at 6 pm today. 

NTA JEE Admit Card 2023 has been released for exams to be conducted on January 24 and 25, 2023. The admit card can be downloaded through the official site of NTA JEE at jeemain.nta.nic.in. 

In terms of order of difficulty – Mathematics was Moderate, Chemistry was Easy to Moderate, while Physics was Easy. Overall, this paper was of Moderate level as per students.

As per the notice issued by NTA, on the day of Examination, please reach the venue of the Test at the Reporting Time mentioned in the Admit Card. If you report beyond the Gate Closing time of Centre, you will not be allowed to enter in the Test venue. Instructions have been issued for strict compliance. Several pre-examination formalities need to be completed and therefore please reach on time.

NTA JEE Mains Shift 1 exam analysis as per students who appeared for the exam is that the difficulty level is similar to last year. Last year the examination difficulty level was moderate to easy. 

NTA JEE Mains 2023 Exam for Shift 2 will begin at 3 pm today, January 24, 2023. The Shift 2 exam will be conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm every exam day. 

According to Saurabh Kumar, Chief Academics Officer (CAO), Vidyamandir Classes (VMC), many questions were asked from Thermodynamics, Semiconductor and Kinematics in the Physics section. 

In the Maths section, questions were asked from Conic Sections, Vector 3D and Integration, the expert said. 

Kumar further said that while the math section was difficult compared to the other two sections, the overall difficulty level of the paper was same as last year. 

In the morning shift of JEE Main 2023 session 1, the mathematics section was lengthy and diffucult, according to Saurabh Kumar, Chief Academics Officer (CAO), Vidyamandir Classes (VMC).
