Creating a platform for the voice of the youth to be heard, lending a helping hand - the young want to do good deeds this year.
What do the young want? Quiz them and you’ll be surprised to find how many of them are focused not on the latest gizmos or fashion but on doing something meaningful for society. A student who is also a member of the Constitution Drafting Committee of the Asia Youth Council wants to create a platform where he hopes the voice of the youth can be heard.Another student hopes for a society where there is trust and love among fellow beings.
On the personal front, students promise to give up laziness, anger and radiate happiness and love. One student wants to lend a helping hand to those in need while another wants to work towards realising her career goals.
Rimeka Anand, majoring in electronics and communication engineering (third year), Manav Rachna College of Engineering, Faridabad, is determined to achieve her career goals, give up laziness, anger and always radiate happiness and love in her environment.
“My New Year’s resolution is to start afresh in all my endeavours, to help others and to spread happiness. I also resolve to be creative,” says Kamna Dhoot, pursuing her MBA in design management (second year) from International Institute of Fashion Designing, Jaipur.
“This year, I am determined to bring about certain positive changes in my attitude. I hope to see a beautiful society- a place of trust and love at the end of 2014,” says Charu Sujan, who has completed her Masters in Fine Arts from Banaras Hindu University, and is now working.
