The period of use of school buses in Haryana would now be determined according to the distance travelled, instead of the earlier age limit of 10 years.
The minister said that a detailed discussion was held on Section 134A of the Right to Education Act. It was decided in the meeting to constitute a committee, which would comprise officers and representatives of private schools.
He said that he had directed to increase the recognition period of recognised private schools by one year in a meeting held in August. The minister gave assurance that other genuine demands of private schools would also be fulfilled, the release stated.
