A panel of experts including Sushma Singh, associate director, Careers Smart; Usha Albuquerque, director, Careers Smart and Dr Kanika K Ahuja, associate professor, department of psychology, LSR College for Women, answered queries that students had about career options most suited to them based on their skills, aptitude and interests.

“Attending the counselling session changed my perspective. Earlier, I used to think that whatever my peers and parents said was right. But after attending the session and discussing issues with the counsellors, I have realised that one should choose a course according to one’s interests,” says Aashi Sharma, a DU aspirant.

Akshat Kumar, another DU aspirant, was happy that he got a chance to clear his doubts on calculating the ‘best of four’ score.

Another student, Sanya Dey, says, “The session was very informative. It will be easier for me to take a decision about my career.”

Besides students, parents also sought career guidance for their children.

Amrita, a concerned parent, wanted to know about the options available to her child if she did not get admission in Delhi University.

Another parent ,Shoma Chakraborty was confused about her son’s future. “I am really glad that I came for this session. Her suggestion was that mMore such sessions should be organised in the coming future.”
