Brijmohan Agrawal

Brijmohan Agrawal is the former home minister of Chhattisgarh and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He is a towering leader in Raipur. He won the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections in 1990 from the Raipur Town Constituency. He was re-elected in 1993 and 1998. After the creation of Chhattisgarh, he won the seat again in 2003. He held several portfolios in the Raman Singh government. In 2008, he won the Raipur City South seat by a hefty margin. In 2013, he won the seat again by a massive margin. In 2018, his margin increased. He is the MLA from Raipur City South and the BJP's candidate for the 2023 assembly polls. Raipur City South Legislative Assembly constituency is part of the Raipur district. No other leader has won the constituency since 2008, when it was created. The Congress has fielded Mahant Ramsundar Rai against him.
