Byadgi is one of the 224 Karnataka Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Haveri district. Karnataka Assembly Election 2023 for Byadgi will be held on May 10 and the result was declared on May 13.
Byadgi assembly constituency had 1,97,072 electors in 2018, out of which 1,01,566 were male voters and 95,502 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.8% votes.

Bharatiya Janata Party's Ballary Virupakshappa Rudrappa got a total of 91,721 votes, while Indian National Congress's S.R.Patil secured 70,450 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Shivabasappa Channabasappa Bagannanavar secured 875 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 55.5%, 42.6% and 0.5% respectively.
In Karnataka Assembly election 2013, Indian National Congress's Basavaraj Neelappa Shivannanavar outperformed Karnataka Jantha Paksha's Shivaraj Sajjanar by 13,359 votes.
