‘My friend’: Harbhajan Singh congratulates AAP's Bhagwant Mann on becoming CM
Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh posted a photo of AAP's chief minister-designate Bhagwant Mann hugging his mother on Twitter, and wrote “This is a proud moment for Mata ji".
Following the whitewash by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab assembly elections, several noted personalities took to Twitter to congratulate party supremo Arvind Kejriwal and the soon-to-sworn in chief minister Bhagwant Mann. One among them is former Indian team cricketer Harbhajan Singh.

Calling Mann “my friend”, Harbhajan congratulated the AAP leader on becoming the new chief minister of Punjab. The former cricketer added it's great to hear that Mann will be taking oath in Bhagat Singh's village Khatkarkalan.
Harbhajan tweeted with a picture of Mann and his mother Harpal Kaur. “What a picture…this is a proud moment for Mata ji,” he added in the post.
On Thursday, Kaur said that she is “very happy” and Mann's late father must have also been happy to see their son becoming a chief minister. “Earlier too, he was on the right path. Today also, he is on the right path," Kaur added.
Mann won from Sangrur constituency by defeating the Congress party's Dalvir Singh Goldy by a margin of 58,206 votes. With Punjab victory, it will be the first time since its inception that the AAP will be ruling a region outside of Delhi.
The comedian-turned-politician, who is also AAP's Punjab president, is yet to announce his swearing-in date. He met Kejriwal and Delhi's deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia at the former's residence in the national capital a few minutes before.
