Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao

Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao is the son of Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Born in 1976, he is currently serving as the minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development; Industries and Commerce; and Information Technology, Electronics and Communications of Telangana. He is also the working president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi. He began his political career in 2009. He contested and won the Andhra Pradesh assembly polls from the Sircilla Assembly constituency by a thin margin of 171 votes. In 2014, after the formation of Telangana, he contested the elections and won the seat by a handsome margin of 53000 votes.Sircilla Assembly constituency is the district headquarters of Rajanna Sircilla district. In 2018, KTR polled 125,213 votes against 36,204 votes of the Congress party's Kondam Karuna Mahender Reddy. In 2023, KT Rama Rao is contesting against KK Mahender Reddy of BRS.
