Etmadpur is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Agra district. People of Etmadpur voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 10 and the result was declared on March 10.
Etmadpur assembly constituency had 4,17,191 electors in 2017, out of which 2,29,881 were male voters and 1,87,310 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.5% votes.
In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Etmadpur constituency had 15 candidates for assembly seat contention. Etmadpur was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Ram Pratap Singh won the election by upstaging Bahujan Samaj Party's Dr. Dharmpal Singh by a margin of 47,255 votes.
The top three candidates split 96.1% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Ram Pratap Singh got a total of 1,37,381 votes, while Bahujan Samaj Party's Dr. Dharmpal Singh secured 90,126 votes. Samajwadi Party's candidate Rajbeti grabbed the third spot with 43,925 votes. The top three parties got 48.7%, 31.9% and 15.6% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bahujan Samaj Party's Dr. Dharampal Singh defeated Samajwadi Party's Dr. Prem Singh Baghel by 8,504 votes.
