The Fever104 Tree of Wishes at DLF Place Saket mall has been attracting Delhi-ites in large number every day. Hopes and aspirations rule, as mall goers have been writing in their wishes on the helium balloons and leaving them on the brightly lit-up tree. But on Saturday, everybody was in for a pleasant surprise as Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Delhi’s Chief Minister, Sheila Dikshit, turned up to fulfill some of the wishes.

Scindia made it a dream come true for children of the charity, Make a Wish Foundation, as he gave them gifts of their choice. While one of the boys got a remote controlled car, two others got a bicycle and laptop respectively. Children seemed super excited to be able to interact with the young minister.

Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit stayed at the event for a short time but wished all the children and those present, a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and good health.

In the afternoon, television stars Hussain and Gauhar Khan also dropped by to celebrate Christmas with the children at the Tree of Wishes.

Hussain said, “I love the Fever Tree of Wishes and have never seen such a stunning creation before. There are lovely people out here and I really admire the winters of Delhi. I wish Mumbai also did something similar, so the same idea could be shared by the people there.

Gauhar Khan added, “This Christmas, I wish everyone good health and I am spellbound to look at the giant Christmas tree. I have travelled worldwide but have never seen something like this before. It is wonderful to see such a spectacular creation in Delhi.” They also gifted chocolates and toys to the kids.
