A working Eid for Bollywood
On the occasion of Bakr Eid, most Bollywood and TV actors seem busy with their respective shootsentertainment Updated: Oct 16, 2013 15:05 IST
For Muslims around the world, this time of the year is special as it’s the occasion to celebrate yet another Eid. This year, however, Bollywood celebs and television actors seem to be occupied with work, with little time to take in the revelry. We ask four of them about their plans today.
Farah Khan: No celebrations for me this time as I will be working all day. I’m going to be in the office as the pre-production for my next film has begun. I also have some other recording stuff as well, so it’s a choc-a-bloc day for me. Happy Eid to everyone.
Imran Khan: Eid for me is about being with family and spending time with loved ones. Usually it’s about being at home and doing a few special things, but this time, sadly, I’m working so there won’t be much happening. But I want to wish a happy Eid to everyone.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui: On Eid, I am shooting for my next film, Dhumketu At Sewri. During last year’s Eid too, I was shooting for The Lunchbox, so my celebrations have been spent working for the past two years. So there are no plans as such. Let’s see if my family does something when I get home from the sets.
Faisal Khan: Though I will be busy with the shoot of my TV show, Maharana Pratap, I will make time for my family. I will ensure that I have enough money to give Eidi to my sisters. My mom will make many delicacies which is what I am looking forward to the most.
Iqbal Khan: First, I will attend the special Eid namaz at the mosque and then have breakfast with my family. I will then head to Film City because the producers of my new show have planned a puja on the set. Then, I will come back home for lunch and then devour the sheer khurma that my wife makes. In the evening, I will do something for the betterment of the soul, something that we can take back with us when we leave the world. Have a super Eid.
