Abbas scared of Ramayana?

Okay, now my dhobi SafediLal wants me to hear this rather amusing tiddy-bitty on Abbas Tyrewalla. The director was giving the finishing touches to his forthcoming film, Jhootha Hi Sahi, at Future Works, a post-production suite in Andheri, when he ventured to have a dekko of the animated film, Ramayana, in the vicinity.

Bas, aur kya? The moment Tyrewalla saw Ravan’s entry on the screen, uski hawa nikal gayi, claims Safedi. Although he whistled at the sequence, his enthusiasm dampened when he learnt that the animated movie was releasing on the same day as his John Abraham-Pakhi romantic comedy.

Dhobi claims that Abbas even asked the Ramayana production guy why they were releasing their movie on the same day… and even suggested that they change their plans. Now, if one scene had this impact on the Jhootha Hi Sahi director, wonder what the entire animated film will do. Or shouldn’t I ask? But then, such is life dearies.
