Acting against all odds

Hollywood actor Jennifer Lawrence had considered bidding adieu to acting for good when she first rose to fame because she preferred to be invisible in life.

The 20-year-old came into the spotlight with her part in the movie Winter’s Bone, which won her an Academy Award nomination, and has since gone on to land roles in X-Men: First Class and The Hunger Games opposite Liam Hemsworth, reported Daily Star.

But Lawrence has struggled to adjust to the sudden interest in her personal life and had considered sticking to smaller films or a career behind the camera to avoid attention. “People started talking to me differently and I couldn’t stand that. I’d go to parties where I used to be invisible and off the record, now everybody’s watching and listening. There was a weird element and I wondered whether I wanted to be a director or act in independent films,” she said.
