Akshay Kumar meets schoolmate Farokh Engineer

Bollywood and cricket have always been closely associated and interactions between celebrities from both the fields are common. Recently, Akshay Kumar met former Indian cricketer Farokh Engineer, at Birmingham, UK.

Akshay, who was in the country for a family vacation, went for the match between India and Pakistan to promote his upcoming film, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara (OUATIMD). The two met during the match and discussed their lives. While they spoke about cricket and OUATIMD, Akshay realised that both share a common schooling background.

“It was great to meet a stalwart like Farokh Engineer at the match venue in Birmingham. We had a great conversation about my forthcoming film and the fact that we were in the same school, Don Bosco,” says Akshay.

Engineer was an Indian batsman and wicketkeeper and had an active international career from 1961 to 1975.
