Former Friends star Jennifer Anison was so desperate to get her actor friend Woody Harrelson to sign up for her new film Management that she spent a fortune on a long-distance call to read out the script to the actor.
Harrelson was the first choice to play Aniston's mogul husband in the film but he passed on the project because he didn't like his character, reports contactmusic.com.
As a result, director Stephen Belber turned to actor Jason Patric but couldn't get Harrelson out of his head. So he rewrote the script to recreate Aniston's movie husband. He then asked her to get her old friend on the phone.
"I've known Woody for a long time. He originally passed on the role and then he didn't get the rewrite, where all of his questions and concerns were answered, and so it was all about just trying to convince him," said Aniston.
"I remember reading the scene over the phone to him, playing both of our parts and cracking up," she added.
Harrelson has finally agreed to sign on for the film.
