Arquette ‘fine’ after accident

Hollywood star David Arquette was rushed to hospital after a head-on car crash in West Hollywood. The actor’s silver Cadillac swerved into an oncoming vehicle after the car in front of him stopped suddenly, the TMZ reported.

The 39-year-old star hit the road and was later rushed to hospital but a spokesperson said the actor was doing “fine”. Arquette later sent a tweet from his hospital bed to assure his followers. “Remember to wear your seat belt-wish I was. I got into a car accident but I’m fine. Luckily I have dragon’s blood running through my veins. Haha Thank you for all your concern (sic),” the actor tweeted. The Scream actor’s car was completely damaged from the front and was towed away later.

Arquette was reportedly en route to Burbank airport where he was set to board a private jet to Las Vegas to attend the opening of a candy store. His estranged wife Courteney Cox and their daughter Coco, 6, are currently in Hawaii where the actor films her TV series, Cougar Town. Arquette recently did a rehab stint to overcome issues related to alcohol addiction. He and Cox announced their separation in October but Arquette recently said he hopes that they will reunite.
