Arrest warrant against Adnan Sami

Adnan Sami has been in the eye of the storm and has lived to tell the tale post his numerous court room encounters. Now we hear that the singer has landed in yet another battle. This time it is an arrest warrant that has been issued against Sami.

The permanent arrest warrant has been issued in Indore, following a complaint lodged by G Raghuvanshi. The reason behind this is that apparently the singer failed to turn up at a concert in Indore in 2001.

It was only post the hearings by the sessions court, that an arrest warrant was issued against the accused in 2005. After the police couldn't apparently execute it, a permanent warrant was issued under sections 406, 420 and 34 of the IPC, on Nov 19, 2011.

The orders of the court were dated November 19, 2011 but the warrant was actually issued seven months later on June 2, 2012 and reached the intended police station on June 13 due to delay in execution by police.

As per the rules, Adnan will have to go to Indore to get bail.
