Amitabh Bachchan first sang for the movie Mr Natwarlal (1979) and since then, the multi-faceted messiah has sung in as many as 24 films. With Aladin, Amitabh is all set to touch the silver jubilee mark.

In the same year of his playback debut, Amitabh made waves with his playful rendition of Mere Angene Mein, Tumhara Kya Kaam Hai for the film Laawaris. The song went on to become the top song of 1980's decade.

In Silsila (1983), Amitabh Bachchan rendered songs of different moods. While Rang Barse was a fun-filled song, Neela Aasmaan So Gaya was sobre, Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum was a romantic number

Next was Jahan Mil Jayen Chaar Yaar from the film Sharabi (1984). This silsila of songs never stopped for Big B and he kept singing even in his second innings. Be it Dharti Tarse Ambar Barse (Baghban), Aao Milke Gaayen Aisa (Armaan) or Say Shava Shava (Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham), Big B made these songs special with his voice.

The other films for which Amitabh sang apart from those mentioned above are The Great Gambler, Naseeb, Mahaan, Toofan, Jaadugar, Khuda Gawah, Major Saab, Sooryavansham, Aks, Aankhen, Armaan, Dev, Aetbaar, Baabul, Nishabd, Cheeni Kum, Bhootnath.

Now Amitabh Bachchan will come up with an Alaap in the song O Re Saawariya from Aladin, his 25th film as a singer.

Happy singing, Big B!
