Akshay Kumar and Ram Charan had a heartwarming exchange on Twitter. It followed after Ram praised the trailer of Akshay's upcoming film Raksha Bandhan.

The trailer for Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Raksha Bandhan was released last week and praise for it is still coming the actor’s way. Earlier on Tuesday, RRR actor Ram Charan took to Twitter to praise the trailer and also appreciated Akshay. In response, Akshay shared Ram’s tweet and thanked him. Following this exchange between the two actors, several social media users commented that the oft-warring and bickering fandoms of these actors should take a lesson from them in mutual respect. On Tuesday afternoon, Ram shared Raksha Bandhan’s trailer on Twitter and wrote, “What a trailer @akshaykumar Sir! The beautiful and sacred bond of a brother and sister is incredibly captured in the trailer.” He also sent a birthday wish to the film’s director Aanand L Rai, who turned 51 on Tuesday. “Also, happy birthday to the director @aanandlrai Sir,” he added.

Fans of the two actors responded to the exchange with heart emojis in the replies. One wrote, “This is class how these two appreciate each other”. One social media user had a lesson for fans as they wrote, “Fandoms do north-south all day while actors praise each other. Learn from them.” Some fans were puzzled as to why Akshay, 54, referred to the 37-year-old Ram as ‘anna’, a salutation used for an older brother. “Anna? Learning Telugu Akshay sir,” quipped one fan.

Raksha Bandhan is a social comedy focussing on dowry. In it, Akshay plays a middle-aged man looking to marry off his four sisters, while his own girlfriend waits for him. The film also stars Bhumi Pednekar, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb and Smrithi Srikanth. Directed by Aanand L Rai and produced by Zee Studios, Colour Yellow Productions and Cape of Good Films, Raksha Bandhan is all set to release on August 11.
