Boney Kapoor poses with Janhvi Kapoor's rumoured boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya at NMACC launch in Mumbai

Janhvi Kapoor skipped posing for paparazzi at NMACC launch in Mumbai, but her rumoured boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya was spotted posing with dad Boney Kapoor.

The inauguration of Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai on Friday saw the who's who of Bollywood grace the event in style. Although actor Janhvi Kapoor skipped posing for the media, her father producer Boney Kapoor was spotted along with Janhvi's rumoured boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya as they posed for paparazzi. A video shared by a paparazzo account on Instagram showed Boney Kapoor arrive at the event with Janhvi's rumoured boyfriend, businessman Shikhar Pahariya. Boney opted for an all-grey formal outfit, while Shikhar suited up in a green jacket and paired it up with a white shirt and a bow tie. Both of them posed for the shutterbugs for a brief while, and made their way inside the venue. Meanwhile, Janhvi shared pictures of her pearl-embellished outfit on Instagram that she chose for the event, even though she skipped posing for paparazzi.

Earlier last month, Shikhar had posted a romantic silhouette photo of him along with Janhvi to wish on her birthday. Although the photo didn't feature Janhvi and Shikhar's faces directly, it showed Shikar holding on to her and looking ahead at the landscape. They were seen posing candidly at a beach destination during a moonlit night while enjoying the scenic view. Shikhar wrote in the caption, “Happy birthday,” with a heart emoji.

Shikhar Pahariya is the grandson of the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Sushilkumar Shinde. According to reports, he and Janhvi had dated earlier and later parted ways for unknown reasons. The couple seems to be back together as they have been spotted a lot of times in recent months. In February, Janhvi Kapoor was snapped leaving for a family vacation along with sister Khushi Kapoor and father Boney Kapoor. There too, they were joined by Shikhar Pahariya.

Spilling the tea about Janhvi dating Shikhar, Karan Johar had almost confirmed their dating rumours in Koffee With Karan 7. During Janvhi's appearance on the show with Sara Ali Khan, Karan said, “I mean it was the past. You both dated two brothers. And the commonality between the three of us is that they both used to live in my building." According to reports, Sara dated Shikhar's brother Veer Pahariya.
