How Kartik Aaryan reacted on being asked if someone in Bollywood is 'harassing' him. Watch

After Kartik Aaryan was replaced from a high profile film last year, several of his fans claimed the actor was being targetted and harassed by people from the film industry. The actor has now responded to those reports.

Kartik Aaryan recently opened up about reports that certain 'influential' people in Bollywood are targeting or harassing him. The actor was posed this question on the red carpet at the Iconic Gold Awards 2022, which were held in Mumbai on Saturday night. Kartik was among the winners of the night. He took home the Iconic Best Actor Of The Year Critics Choice Award for his performance in Dhamaka. (

At the red carpet, while speaking to the media, Kartik was asked how he felt when he read certain negative reports being published about him in the news media. The actor responded in Hindi, "I don't even read them." The mediaperson then asked Kartik if someone in Bollywood was 'bothering' him. To this, Kartik smiled and said, “There is nothing like that. Nobody is bothering me. Award le ke jaa raha hoon (I'm taking home an award).”

Kartik had a tough 2021. He dropped out from Dharma Productions' upcoming film Dostana 2. There were other unconfirmed reports that he had lost out on another big project. But Kartik never commented on it. Recently, there were reports that Kartik threatened to walk out of his upcoming film Shehzada. The reports emerged after the producers of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo decided to release its Hindi version in theatres. Shehzada is the official remake of the Telugu film. Reports said Kartik was worried about the box office prospects of his film being hurt by the original's re-release.

Given these constant issues, many of Kartik's fans had claimed that the actor was being targetted by certain influential people within the film industry. Till now, Kartik had maintained a stoic silence on the issue though.

Later on Saturday, Kartik took to his social media to share a picture of himself holding his award. Referring to his character from Dhamaka, he wrote, "Arjun Pathak is the best. Iconic Best Actor of The Year Critics Choice."

The actor has a busy 2022. He will be first seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which also stars Tabu, and Kiara Advani. Following this, he will be seen in Freddy opposite Alaya F. His last release of the year is Shehzada, which also stars Kriti Sanon, Manisha Koirala, and Paresh Rawal.
