Jawan review and release highlights: Fans welcome Shah Rukh Khan with packed theatres, film leaks online

A scene from Jawan, in which Shah Rukh's character tells people to vote wisely, is a hit with his fans. “There is a point in #Jawan where SRK addresses the public, he essentially breaks the fourth wall. There is a seething anger and frustration in his delivery as he urges the public to raise their voice & question those in positions of power. WE SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE SIR,” read a tweet.

As per a report on Sacnilk.com, Jawan has collected ₹28 crore by the afternoon. The film is expected to do even better business in the evening and night shows. 

“Best film of SRK for me after Chak De. A perfect marriage between Hindi film Industry and Tamil Industry. Ye rishta kabhi kisi ne explore hi nai kiya,” wrote YouTuber Ashish Chanchalani.

Vikram Rathore, Shah Rukh's character in the film is trending on Twitter.  “The character of Vikram Rathore is ultimate, SRK - Atlee deserves tremendous credit for it,” wrote a fan.

Trade analyst Sumit Kadel tweeted, "#Jawan Opening is UNIVERSE SHATTERING. Film is Running with 70-80% occupancy across India. Evening & Night shows will run with optimum capacity. Day-1 All India collection is going to be HISTORIC #ShahRukhKhan will beat his own All time day -1 record of #Pathaan with a ENORMOUS ₹ 20-25 cr Margin."

Shah Rukh took to Twitter to share a special message for his fan pages. “Wow have to take time out and thank each and every Fan Club and all of you who have gone so happily in the theatres and even outside. So overwhelmed will surely do the needful as soon as I get my breath back in a day or so. Uff!! Love u for loving #Jawan,” he wrote.

Atlee's film has been leaked online within hours of release. A non-HD print is now available for free download on Telegram. More often than not, Hindi films leak online within a day of their release.   

Sanya Malhotra stars alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan and was spotted at G7 Galaxy theatre in Mumbai amid rains as she watched the first day show of the film. 

Shah Rukh Khan was awake at 5:39 am and responded to a video which showed several of his fans chanting "India ki shaan Shah Rukh Khan" while marching with posters of the actor. He reacted to the video on X, “Love you boys and girls I hope u enjoy the entertainment. Kept awake to see u go to the theater. Big love and thanks.”

Shah Rukh Khan sports several looks in Jawan and this was served as an example by Nagpur Police to spread awareness about ensuring cyber security. 

Actor Radhika Madan was seen in a yellow salwar-suit and a mask at the Gaiety Galaxy theatre in Mumbai as she came to watch the first day show of Jawan. 

A moviegoer wrote for Deepika's role in Jawan, “She just has a cameo in Jawan but the screen presence and aura she exudes is unmatched. I don't know how Deepika does it! Phenomenal acting which leaves an impact. What a superstar! Can't wait for Fighter.”

Nayanthara, who made her Instagram debut ahead of Jawan release, shared a picture with husband-filmmaker Vignesh Shivan on Thursday and captioned it, “All of me loves all of you.”

Deepika Padukone has an extended cameo in Jawan. She reacted to an Instagram post of a person praising her effortless performance and wrote on her Instagram Stories, “gratitude”. 

Jawan also stars TV actor Ridhi Dogra. She watched the film during a special screening at YRF studio on Wednesday. Tweeting about it, she wrote, “I just saw the film of the century!!#Jawan. All I want to say at this point is You’re all in for an Incredibly Supremely Immensely successful Cinematic Euphoric viewing experience!!!! And @iamsrk has knocked it out of the PARK. In fact the Park is a Dot! JUST Watch.”

A video on social media shows moviegoers dancing along with Shah Rukh Khan as the song Zinda Banda plays on the silver screen during Jawan show. 

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh has shared the first day collections of Jawan till 12 noon. He tweeted, “#Jawan *Day 1* at national chains… Nett BOC… Update: 12 noon #PVRInox: 15.60 cr #Cinepolis: 3.75 cr Total: ₹ 19.35 cr. Day 1 total… #Pathaan: 27.02 cr. #KGF2 #Hindi: 22.15 cr #War: 19.67 cr.”

There were reports that Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's Tiger 3 teaser will be attached with Jawan but it was not spotted when the Shah Rukh Khan released in theatres on Thursday.

As per a report on Sacnilk.com, Jawan may earn ₹75 crore in India on its opening day on Thursday. 

Shah Rukh Khan had unveiled the Jawan Prevue in July and it served the purpose of a trailer until the actual trailer was unveiled last month. It showed glimpses of the entire ensemble cast. Watch again here.

Music composer and singer Anirudh Ravichander trends on X as Jawan music earns praise. Social media influencer Amutha Bharathi wrote, “#Anirudh An another hero of #Jawan. His BGM made the every mass scene so impactful and perfectly elevated #ShahRukhKhan throughout the movie. Truly an Anirudh Era.”

Fans burnt firecrackers and even dhol beats could be heard outside Gaiety Galaxy as the 6 am show of Jawan opened in theatres on Thursday.
