What Khushboo Patani said for Raghav Chadha?

In the Instagram video, Raghav questioned his removal as deputy leader of the Aam Aadmi Party in the Rajya Sabha. He said that he has always championed the issues faced by the common people. "I would like to tell those who have snatched away my right to speak in Parliament to not take my silence for defeat. I am a river that can transform into a flood when the time comes. Jai Hind," he said in Hindi. He wrote in the caption, ‘Silenced, not defeated.’

In the comments section of the post, Khushboo wrote, "Raghav ji, aap ek padhae likhae, suljahe neta hain. Hamare desh ko aap jaise neta ki bahut zarurat hain. Mujhe yakeen hain aane wale waqt mein aap apni ek party banaye. Hum sab aapke sath judna chahengae kyunki aap desh ke sath chalna chahate hain. Jai hind (You are a well educated and noble leader. Our country needs a leader like you. I have full faith that in the near future you will make your own party. We all would want to join you because you want to work with the country)."

Why was Raghav Chadha removed as AAP deputy leader in Rajya Sabha?

AAP submitted a letter to the Rajya Sabha secretariat to appoint MP Ashok Mittal as deputy leader of the party in the Upper House, replacing Chadha, PTI news agency quoted sources as saying. The development comes amid Raghav Chadha's prolonged silence on matters concerning the party, including his reported absence from public events led by AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal.

When Arvind Kejriwal was arrested in connection with the excise policy case in March 2024, Chadha was abroad for medical reasons. He remained away from active politics during Kejriwal's nearly six-month incarceration, during which other party leaders, including Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh were also in jail.

Raghav campaigned against high airport food prices, leading to the introduction of 20 samosas and 10 tea at several Indian airports through the 'Udaan Yatri Cafes'. Party leaders described the decision as part of internal restructuring. But the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) claimed the move was result of Chadha’s “distancing himself” from party’s national convener and former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.
