“My clothes were practically falling off me,” the Daily Telegraph quoted her as saying on the chat show The Talk, when the singer told his driver to go around the block as he was taking her home.
Sadly, it was not meant to be for the former wife of tennis star Andre Agassi, who also dated actor John Travolta and the late Michael Jackson. The Careless Whisper singer, who has since revealed that he was gay when he was arrested in 1998 for “engaging in a lewd act” in a public toilet in a park in Beverly Hills, California, ended the relationship, insisting that he needed to concentrate on his music.
The actor remained a virgin until the age of 22, a fact that the now 47-year-old Shields regrets. “I wish I had just gotten it over within the beginning when it was sort of OK,” she told Health magazine.
