Today is World Environment Day, and while everyone’s doing their bit, Bandra’s Mocha Mojo wants to be a notch above the rest. The café has dedicated not one day but this whole week to the environment with activities that include an eco bazaar that’s on today from 10 am to 6 pm.

“The main goal of today’s bazaar is to connect with people who are interested in contributing to and making a better environment,” mentions Shobhita Kadan, vice president of marketing at Impresario, which owns Mocha establishments. “There will be stalls with eco-friendly and environment-related products for sale — like handmade chemical-free soaps, organic dry fruits, jholas (bags) and picture frames. We also just want people to enjoy the experience and so there’s live music that’s open to the audience. Anyone can just come up and play the guitar,” she says.

Brands at today’s bazaar include Matsya, Clean Planet, The Root, and Korakundah Organic Teas.

Mocha also has an ongoing art experiment in progress till June 7. So don’t be surprised if you step into the restaurant and see art installations and photographs. “We asked people to submit what the environment means to them in some art form. The entries we received are up at Mocha right now. For example, someone made a table out of the top of a refrigerator - the idea being to recycle and reuse old products,” Kadan says.

Finally, you can also try the organic menu that includes dishes and drinks like Ginger Lemonade, Watermelon and Feta Salad with Garlic Croutons, and Organic Bread Pudding.
