Contactmusic.com reports that Carter saw his parents fight throughout his childhood and is still traumatised by how he and his siblings were dragged into the fights.

He said: "There was a ton of fighting. The kids would be thrown into the middle, to choose sides."

Carter still has a strained relationship with his family and hasn't spoken to his father for years. He is dating a sales girl and said: "I don't believe in marriage". He is still not ruling out settling down one day and having kids.
