Earlier this year, the actor had announced her engagement with Dubai-based Austrian hotelier Peter Haag. They were to tie the knot on September 3. “However, my brother’s wedding that was to happen in July has been pushed to September now. He is a special forces officer with the Indian Army and wasn’t getting leave in July,” she reasons.
The actor had also planned her wedding in Egypt but her fiancé’s grandmother hasn’t been keeping well, and will be unable to travel to Egypt. So the location may be shifted to Peter’s hometown in Austria. The couple had met last year in Dubai through common family friends.
Peter works with the Jumeira group and has been living in Dubai for nine years now. They have been meeting often when Celina shoots in Dubai. The actor rules out the possibility of hosting both weddings together: “I have dreams of how I want my wedding to be, and I want to enjoy my brother’s wedding too. I don’t want to be the bride and sweat over a twin marriages. Besides, we have a different set of friends. My brother wants his wedding at the army headquarters near Indore. I can’t get married there.” She asserts that she will continue to act post marriage.
