Omi Vaidya, or Chatur of 3 Idiots, is taking diction classes to tone down his accent and play roles of ‘born-and-bred Indians'. Besides receiving fan attention, he also has several television offers.

. Since its success, life has taken a U-turn for actor Omi Vaidya, who has been receiving fan attention as well as several television offers.

Hindi endearing, but to start playing the roles of born-and-bred Indians, I will have to do better. That’s why I am taking diction lessons.”



Apart from signing his first television commercial with actress Shruti Seth, Vaidya will also host a couple of upcoming dance shows on television.



Vaidya says that although he wants to be selective about the work he does, he is willing to give various genres a try.



He says, “I have to take risks and play difficult characters to grow. I generally go by what appeals to me and do roles out of my comfort zone. This way, there is little scope for repetition.”



The actor recently interacted with the students of filmmaking at an institute in Mumbai. “It was great interacting with the next generation of filmmakers. The students there were an excited and curious lot. They even asked me to enact Sharman Joshi’s role from

3 Idiots

,” says Vaidya.
