From the Rajiv Chowk metro station in Connaught Place, the metro takes around 30 minutes to reach Rajouri Garden in West Delhi. For those who think that the most happening places are located in South Delhi, a visit to Rajouri Garden will surely change their perception. The station, which is one of the highest stations on Delhi metro’s blue line route, is a preferred by couples for its proximity to great hangout zones.

Malls and a movie hall
Just walk down the metro station and you will find yourself staring at City Square Mall, which is one of the popular malls here. Another 5-10 minutes’ walk from here, you can visit other malls such as TDI mall, Shoppers Stop and the West Gate Mall. These malls not only house all leading brands but also have multiplexes and food courts and restaurants. No wonder mall-hopping is a common sight. You can also relive you experience of single screen theatre with Vishal cineplex nearby. Horror House at the Westgate Mall is a big attraction.

Shop till you drop
As soon as you get out of the station from the main market side, outlets of Bikaner and Café Coffee Day can be seen. Moving ahead you will reach Rajouri Garden Main Market. This is heaven for shopaholics. It has shops selling funky footwear. Some of the most popular shops are Stilettoes, Sant, Stush and Delco and apparel stores such as Appeal, Bombay Selections, Shakuntalam and Sahiba among others. Once you are here, don’t miss visiting the Atul Chaat Corner for it’s delicious chaat and gol-gappas. And if you love momos, then Momos corner, which is near the middle of the market, is the place to be. For a dose of Chinjabi delight, Crazy Cow is the best bet.

Food
Rajouri Garden is predominantly inhabited by Punjabis who are known for their love of food. Take a cycle rickshaw by paying just Rs 10 to 15 and reach BK Dutt market. Here, you have a wide range of restaurants to choose from, serving Chinese, Italian, Mughlai amongst others. Youngsters love hanging out eating joints such as Wok in the Clouds, Tamba, Pind Balluchi, Slice of Italy, Pirates of the Grill, Gola Westend among others. Pirates of the Grill and Priviledge, among many others.
