Actor Christina Hendricks, who is famous for her role in the TV series, Mad Men, has recalled having survived a terrifying childhood car accident, which could have killed her entire family.

Hendricks, 36, was just a little girl when a family camping trip ended in disaster, as their Volkswagen van skidded off a mountain road and fell into a ditch. Although the family survived the crash, Hendricks admitted that they were all scared for their lives. “We just slowly went off the road into this ditch and we didn’t know how deep it was... we really thought we were dying,” the Daily Star quoted her as saying.
