Director Patty Jenkins spoke about the 49-year-old actress at the Director's Guild Awards in Hollywood overnight and said that her issues were being blown out of proportion.

Jenkins praised Demi's strength of character and explained that the star was feeling better than people would expect.

“I just saw her and she’s doing great... much better than it’s made out to be. Demi is awesome and so strong. She’s great,” the Mirror quoted her as saying.

The actress, 49, who has split with hubby Ashton Kutcher over his alleged cheating, had a seizure at a house party last week.

It had been reported that Demi collapsed after inhaling nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, at her LA home on Monday night.
