Despite split, Anurag Kashyap says Kalki will always be his 'friend'

It was surprising to see Anurag and Kalki spend time together at the ongoing Mumbai Film Festival. After the opening ceremony, the two met in the lobby of the theatre.

It was in November last year when filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and actor Kalki Koechlin decided to part ways after over two years of marriage. While rumours were rife that they don’t talk anymore, Kalki told us in an earlier interview that the two “have always been in touch”.

But, it was surprising to see Anurag and Kalki spend time together at the ongoing Mumbai Film Festival. After the opening ceremony, the two met in the lobby of the theatre.

When Anurag’s friends asked him to join them for the opening film, he preferred to see Kalki off and accompanied her to her car before catching up with them. In fact, Anurag tells us, “Kalki is my friend, and she will always be. No one can take that away from me.”
